From the creators of the Pokemon Series (Gamefreak) this new game has players using your Imagination and Protecting your town from monster attacks.

During the latest Nintendo Direct, Nintendo showed off some new footage of Little Town Hero, a new RPG from Game Freak, the creators of the popular Pokémon games.

In the trailer for Little Town Hero, Nintendo revealed some details about the game’s story, and showed more gameplay showing us what we should expect from this new title.

The video starts with the dialogue Citizens of the little town aren’t allowed to leave. When monsters start to invade, players will need to take up the mantle of a small hero named Axe who is trying to protect everything he knows. Players need to defend their townspeople to discover the secrets hidden under their tiny town.

It then throughout this also talks about how players will need to learn how to use there imaginations correctly to battle the new treat that has invaded there town.

Little Town Hero is a turn based RPG, where players use “ideas” to fight invading monsters. Players can also again the help of villagers while in battle to defend the town and defeat the monsters that now plague it.

It appears that from the footage shown it looks like the Heroes will battle giant sheep and horrifying goats with their bladed shield but the extent of the weapons and monsters in this game is yet to be seen.

We probably won’t know much more about the game until it is released in October.

The Nintendo Direct announcement also took a moment to confirm to us that most of Little Town Hero’s music is by Toby Fox, the creator of the game Undertale.

This looks like a fantastic new addition to the Nintendo Switch’s growing library of games and we can’t wait to try this one out. We won’t be waiting long with the release date set for October 16th we expect to be playing this game before we know it.
