The game has now launched on the switch giving players another platform to play this very board game style social deduction like computer game.
About Among Us
Among us is an online and local party game of teamwork and betrayal for 4-10 players that is set in space!
Players play with 4-10 player online or via local WiFi as you attempt to prepare your spaceship for departure, but beware as one or more random players among the Crew are Impostors bent on killing everyone!
The game originally released in 2018 takes place in a space-themed setting, in which players each take on one of two roles, most being Crewmates, and a predetermined number being Impostors.
How to Play
The goal of the Crewmates is to identify the Impostors, eliminate them, and complete tasks around the map; the Impostors’ goal is to covertly sabotage and kill the Crewmates before they complete all of their tasks.
Players suspected to be Impostors may be eliminated via a plurality vote, which any player may initiate by calling an emergency meeting (except during a crisis) or reporting a dead body.
Crewmates win if all Impostors are eliminated or all tasks are completed whereas Impostors win if there is an equal number of Impostors and Crewmates, or if critical sabotage goes unresolved.
Players use chat or voice to try to work out who the imposter is using the perfect combination of skill and social enquiry and feels just like games of the resistance of secret Hitler around a table.
