If there is one thing that really can get annoying its when you find your board game components all over the box due to a lack of an insert.
Now there are some amazing inserts around but this post is tailored to my Australian friends who know as well as I do that getting one of there can cost you a couple of chickens and you’re firstborn in shipping due to the scarcity of these in Australia.
That’s Why I Leaped with joy when I discovered these inserts ranging from $20 – $70 depending on their complexity and only $6 Shipping my excitement levels are at an all-time high and my bank account at an all-time low.

Gloomhaven
This insert is designed to be compatible with Gloomhaven®. The design provides both efficient storage and improved game play. Many of the trays can be utilised during the game, and they greatly aid set-up and clear-away times. There is space for all cards to be sleeved. The two monster stat sheet and card trays are designed so that the sheets act as dividers with the monster cards in between. This allows quick access to each monster in game and its relevant cards. These trays also contain the largest monster standees as shown in the image.
Gloomhaven® is a big box game with many complex components. The order of placing the insert trays in the box is important to maintain a tight fit for protecting components and also to allow vertical storage. Please follow the sequence of placing trays below. Note that the smaller room tiles stand vertically on the right next to the character boxes.

The trays can be utilised during the game, and they greatly aid set-up and clear-away times. The rules and boards act as a lid on top of the trays.
With the top layer removed you can see the next layer underneath. Here you can see the four card trays, each of which is designed to work with quality card sleeves. We have used FFG sleeves in testing. The game rules and boards go on top of the insert, and act as a lid on them. The great project cards and the smaller expansion rulebooks need to be stored as shown so as to ensure a tight fit with the box lid.

Istanbul

Scythe

The large player boards and dials are on the left. In the middle are the trays for the cards, coins, and resource tokens. There is sufficient storage space for the realistic resource tokens, the metal coins, and also for seven combat dials should you have them. With the top layer removed you can see the player piece trays underneath, one for each player faction. On the right are two tall trays for vertical storage of the large tarot sized cards.

With the top layer removed you can see underneath the remaining dice and token trays. At the top of the image you can see trays for the vertical storage of the game tiles with separate spaces for the faction, home world, objectives and other tiles. in the middle are the first of the dice and token trays. On either side of these are spaces for the game tile bag and player dice cups.
