Wingspan is the latest winner of the Kennerspiel des Jahres and a competitive, medium-weight, card-driven, engine-building board game from Stonemaier Games.
This game has gained a bit of a following in the board game and the bird enthusiast world over the last 12 months.
With bird enthusiasts driving headfirst into the tabletop gaming world from all over the globe now hoping to see there, local feathered friends join the Wingspan Family.
This enthusiastic energy has been the catalyst in the development of a growing amount of custom cards being designed continuously by the fans for the game. One Superfan (Sam Gray), however, has taken this to the next level developing an entire expansion based on Oceanic Birds.
Being an Australian, this has me jumping with excitement at the prospect of playing a game with our native birds included in this expansion, and I recommend you check it out.
