About the Game
Root is a game of adventure and war in which 2 to 4 (1 to 6 with the ‘Riverfolk’ expansion) players battle for control of a vast wilderness.
The nefarious Marquise de Cat has seized the great woodland, intent on harvesting its riches. Under her rule, the many creatures of the forest have banded together. This Alliance will seek to strengthen its resources and subvert the rule of Cats. In this effort, the Alliance may enlist the help of the wandering Vagabonds who are able to move through the more dangerous woodland paths. Though some may sympathize with the Alliance’s hopes and dreams, these wanderers are old enough to remember the great birds of prey who once controlled the woods.

Utopia Engine
Utopia Engine is a free print-and-play dice game for one player.
You play an old artificer named Isodoros who is attempting to reconstruct the Utopia Engine, a fabled device from the distant past and possibly the only hope for averting the fast approaching Doomsday.
You must recover the machine’s six parts from six dangerous regions and assemble the Utopia Engine before the world ends.
The game uses simple dice mechanics to simulate searching the wilderness, activating and assembling powerful artifacts, and combat with artifact weapons.
Requires a printed play sheet, two six-sided dice, and a pencil with eraser.

The Harbinger Project
You have just been promoted to lead the newly-formed Harbinger Project – a secret collection of the top allied minds brought together in an effort to defeat the enemy through the foreknowledge of their actions.
By intercepting enemy transmissions and breaking enemy codes, you will be able to make the best use of your military might against the oncoming invasion and show the enemy the true meaning of “forewarned is forearmed.”
The Harbinger Project is a solitaire game using two 8-sided dice and two printed playsheets. As head of the codebreaking branch, your job is to decide how best to use your time before the enemy invades.
The enemy will invade random locations with random unit types.
Your job is to use your dice and wits to decipher and break the enemy codes, thus allowing you to learn the details of the enemy’s plan before you assign units to defend.
You must also split your time between defending important structures, enciphering friendly codes, and recruiting new units to defend.
The enemy will make 6 invasions in their approach to your capital. They have reserves of 14 of each of 4 different unit types. Your job is to destroy all enemy units before they reach your capital.

Orchard: A 9 card solitaire game
Orchard is a quick solitaire ’tile laying’ game that plays in under 10 minutes.
The aim of the game is to harvest fruit (score points) by playing cards so that their fruit trees overlap other trees already in the orchard that bear the same fruit.
The more trees you can overlap, the more fruit you’ll pick. As well as the 9 double-sided cards, you’ll need 15 dice (of 3 colours) to keep track of your increasing harvest, and 2 cubes to represent ‘rotten’ fruit.
These allow you to lay a card that you wouldn’t otherwise be able to – but come with a points forfeit. So you must decide if and when to play them.

Crystallo
Crystallo is a solo puzzle/abstract card game with a light fantasy theme. Explore the cavern lair of the wicked Black Dragon by placing cards, free six magical creatures by creating crystal sets, and, if you should succeed with that task, trap the dragon in his own cave.
Collect treasure along the way, and you may emerge a wealthy champion!
Crystallo is played with a deck of 54 illustrated cards and 18 gems, and runs about 20-30 minutes.

Grazing Sheep

A number of sheep (and four-leaf clover) are randomly placed in a field.
Your task is to help the sheep eat as much grass as they can to keep them happy.
Each area of grazing is determined by the dice you roll. Completely grazed fields score more points.
The clover is considered lucky and, when eaten, can increase your chances of success.
And you also have a sheepdog, Ollie, who will help you but only in return for a doggie treat.
There is a certain amount of pushing your luck – do you risk losing one of your limited supply of treats (lives) by going for that final grazing area to complete a field or move on to the next field and lose points for ungrazed areas?
