In Gunkimono, players take on the roles of these daimyos, plotting their military advances across the countryside. Each new squad of troops yields victory points, but you may decide to forgo these points and save up for your stronghold instead.

All the while, you need to keep an eye on your opponents so that their forces do not grow too large and expand at your expense.

Aiming for these Strongholds provide additional options for endgame scoring and give this game multiple dimensions to its gameplay.

Gunkimono is a fantastic strategy game that has a diverse range of ways the player can earn points. This game is a great addition to any collection and is well worth purchasing.

It’s highly engaging as you try to find the best place to insert your tile without setting up big points for your opponents in the future.

It’s easy to play and has heaps of replayability we really enjoyed playing it.

  • Great Game very replayable due to all the options for earning points

  • May be hard for inexperienced players
  • Easy to Learn But due to the multiple points options may take players a few games until they feel confident playing
